Exciting Energy Transition Contract opportunity, to support a major Oil & Gas client, with a Carbon Capture project.
Project Controls Engineer
Purpose:
To support the Package Manager to control contractor performances and support Project Control Department in preparing and update package/contract schedules and reporting activities
Location:
Based in London/ based at site offices in Northop e Point of Ayr but available to travel within UK and internationally as required
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Support the Package Manager (PM) in managing the project controls function for the allocated Work Package(s)

Attend meeting with contractor and perform site visits

Maintain and updated the Package control schedule and support the Project control department to integrate it in the Integrated LBCCS schedule.

Monitor and control project compliance in respect of the project's contractual obligations and procedural requirements.

Assist the package team in development of action plans to avoid cost & schedule overruns through Value Engineering

Prepare reports to analyses project progress in development or execution stages.

Manage the database for the project lessons learned.
Education & Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Good knowledge of English (in writing and speaking)
Required Experience and Technical Competencies

Working knowledge of project controls tools and principles

Relevant experience as Planner in the O&G industry particularly with operating companies.

Familiar with Primavera P6

Good understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning from an oil and gas industry to a low carbon future
