Sr Process Engineer

Our client is looking for a PROCESS ENGINEER to join their team in The Netherlands.

WHAT WE DO:
Our client is active as Project Management Consultant (PMC) and Project Enabler for the development of bio-based refinery complexes. The core project team of our client is responsible for bringing together and managing necessary stakeholders (technology/engineering, investment, customers) to commercialize projects. Our client's role is to ensure proper coordination in the project development, ensure timely award of contracts for the BEDP and EPC of the project, monitor progress, implementation and integration from feasibility to commercial operation of the complex.

THE ROLE
As a process Engineer you will:
• Oversee the engineering design and developments
• Participate in the reviews of license packages and basic and detail engineering packages
• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP/SIL meeting and Value Engineering sessions
• Review technical offers from packages/equipment bidders and vendors
• Obtain full understanding of the involved chemical process technologies
• Have understanding of related utility systems of a Chemical Complex
• Have understanding of the control and safety systems in relation to the process requirements
• Coordinate with operator teams to improve the process performance of the bio refinery
• Initiate new developments and guide it through from feasibility to implementation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure proper engagement and collaboration with other engineering departments including instrumental and mechanical department.
• Initiate and maintains the Process Control procedures and provide input to the Project general and Company’s corporate procedures/guidelines
• Manage the engineering documents related to process (PFDs, P&IDs, H&MB, etc.)
• Ensure consistency between engineering deliverables in the project phases
• Coordinate with licensors / contractor technical team all process related issues and developments.
• Maintain knowledge of latest developments on market related to the processes in the bio-refinery industry and seeking alternative and new solutions
• Manage all issues around environmental assessment and relevant authority requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree with additional specialist courses or university degree in process engineering or related fields.
• 10-15 years’ experience in similar functions.
• Ample experience in the Dutch petrochemical/renewable industry.
• On the job experience of complex projects with (petro-)chemical. companies/contractors during the different phases of the project: Process Design (PDP), Basic Engineering (BEDP), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and EPC.
• Practical experience to develop conceptual and feasibility work deliverables.
• Having experience and understanding of process simulation systems and tools.
• Knowledge of International codes and Standards.
• Dutch language is required.
• You are currently living and working in The Netherlands.
