TRS is has an exciting opportunity for a Process Safety Engineer with experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Support to the engineering team to implement Process Safety requirements in compliance with Company and International standards, local legislation, etc.
• Provide advice and guidance for the implementation in project deliverables of the appropriate risk mitigation measures required for operational and technical integrity.
• Participation in Safety Reviews such as HAZID, BOW-TIE, HAZOP, LOPA (including support to action close-out).
• Developing ALARP demonstrations to manage the risks of Major Hazard Accidents and support HSE Cases preparation.
• Assurance checks for process safety requirements.
• Identification of Safety Critical Elements and Functional requirements/design assurance criteria for developing Performance Standards.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Higher Degree in Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering.
• Has EPC experience
• Loss Prevention Engineer experience,
• Experience or exposure to Process and/or Process themes,
• Deep technical competences in the following areas:
o Technical Safety / Loss prevention Fundamentals
o Risk Management
o Functional Safety (TUV or Exida certification is an advantage)
o Asset Integrity (Safety and Operational critical Elements and Performance Standard)
o Active and passive fire protection systems
o Process containment systems
o Emergency response
o Implementation, Monitoring, Reviews, and Assurance
• Strong process engineering background.
• Experience in Design Basis.
• Deep technical understanding of hazard identification, consequence modelling and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and advancements.
• Experience in using major IOC Standards (preferably SHELL and TOTAL) and approach to safety activities in EPC project development.
• Experience with participating in formal HAZOPs.
• Clear leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to lead work groups and study teams for (process) safety reviews and embed Process Safety culture within working teams.
• Effective communication, presentation and writing skill.
• Good relational and negotiation skills.
• English language proficient.
