Procurement Lead

An independent Construction & Property consultancy are recruiting a Procurement Lead to join their major projects and Infrastructure team and be based in Cardiff.
You will be working on a Fibre Optics project so experience with Fibre Optics and Civil Engineering is desirable.
The company will give you the tools to further build and develop your skills and knowledge as well as support your progression. As a Procurement Manager you will have a large presence on projects, taking ownership of projects while also managing junior colleagues responsible to you for service delivery. This is a senior role and you will be based some of the time in the clients offices.
Procurement managers must be capable of running projects from start to finish with minimal supervision and possess bid writing experience for assisting with submissions.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience

Procurement experience in a senior position working on major UK infrastructure projects. Preferably Fibre Optics and Civil Engineering.
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
Suitable experience on major infrastructure projects
NEC Contracts experience
Experience of Procurement Regulations
Experienced in procurement delivery
Experience of working in a client focused environment - working closely with clients and other consultants
Ability to implement commercial policy and advice to client teams
Ability to take personal responsibility in dealing with clients and others while striving to exceed their expectations
Ability to manage personal workload and a significant portion of projects in cooperation with line manager
Familiarity with a range of different complex delivery models
Excellent document drafting and analysis skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Desirable
MRICS, MCIPS or MCIOB or working towards these qualifications
OJEU Experience
eSourcing and/or eEvaluation systems
Developing Contracting Strategies
