We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement activities for our South African operations. The successful candidate will support sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, procurement compliance, and digital procurement initiatives while driving cost savings and operational excellence. This role is located in Johannesburg.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement requests and purchase orders.
- Execute sourcing and tender processes from start to finish.
- Conduct supplier due diligence, onboarding, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards.
- Support contract and category management activities.
- Monitor supplier performance, deliveries, and supply chain risks.
- Prepare procurement reports and spend analysis using Excel and Power BI.
- Support ERP and digital procurement tool implementation.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' procurement, supply chain, or logistics experience.
- Experience in operational procurement and supplier management.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- ERP experience (SAP, Maximo, MS Dynamics, or similar).
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
- CIPS Level 4 or higher advantageous.
- Power Generation, Utilities, Oil & Gas, or Industrial sector experience preferred.
