The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and implement production schedules utilizing SAP R/3 to fulfill customer requirements with respect to meeting JIT/JIS requirements and delivery functions. The person in this position will interface with customers and be responsible for monitoring finished goods inventory levels.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for all customer communication and satisfaction in regard to delivery
Monitors customer EDI and advanced shipping notices.
Creates production schedule to ensure customer deliveries are met and correct inventory levels are achieved.
Keeps management informed of issues that impact schedules, deliveries, and capacity
Coordinates engineering changes to support customer needs while minimizing obsolescence
Establishes daily communication channels with customers, shipping, manufacturing, materials, and third party logistics partners
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
APICS affiliation/certification preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2 to 3 years of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
Prior experience with an automotive supplier preferred
Experience in capacity planning and inventory control
Specific Skills:
General knowledge of Logistical processes
Strong computer skills with MS office programs
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
Familiarity with AIAG
Familiarity with SAP R/3 enterprise system
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
German language skills (reading, writing, speaking) preferred
