Our client is a leading consultancy in the infrastructure sector is currently seeking a Programme Director - Transport Infrastructure (Civils) to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. This senior leadership role is pivotal in delivering complex, high-value transport infrastructure programmes across rail, highways, and aviation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Leadership:

  • Lead the coordination and successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure programmes.
  • Manage programme budgets, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and health & safety standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement and lean delivery practices.

Stakeholder & Team Management:

  • Direct multi-disciplinary teams including project controls, design, and consultancy professionals.
  • Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders with diverse interests.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and collaborative working environment.

Governance & Risk Management:

  • Establish and oversee programme governance structures.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate risks and issues as necessary.
  • Align programme delivery with broader business strategies and priorities.

Skills, Experience & Education:

Essential:

  • Degree in engineering, construction, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 25 years of experience in civil engineering programme delivery, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in managing complex infrastructure projects valued at €500 million or more.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in tunnelling projects.
  • Background in integrated design and infrastructure delivery.
  • Familiarity with capital investment planning and high-performance environments.
