Summary

This position will frame, analyze, and present all aspects of project business services including financial reporting and variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, billing, accounts payable, cash flow management, internal and external audits, reconciliations as well as building and leading project accounting teams.

Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of project financial statements to meet project and corporate reporting cycle requirements.
• Manage all aspects of project billings and accounts payable functions. Ensure healthy project cash flow.
• Interact closely with various project disciplines (e.g. Project Controls) to assist with project budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide support for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with all project accounting policies and procedures.
• Interface closely with Client’s global distributed execution centers to support strong workshare capabilities and to aid in the effective completion of project deliverables.
• Contribute to building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support global integrated project execution framework. Actively participate in identifying areas of improvement and providing solutions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports as and when warranted. Promote and implement strong performance management practices through performance assessment process.
• Participate in professional development and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) in finance, accounting, business administration or economics.
• CPA or equivalent accounting designation. Candidates in their final stage(s) of qualifying for accounting designation will be considered.
• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or economics is an asset.
• Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated EPFC (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction) project accounting experience in Oil & Gas industry. Experience in
Mining & Metals, Infrastructure and Power is a plus.
• Joint Venture fixed price (lump sum) project accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong excel modeling skills and experience with major enterprise resource planning systems, SAP is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, problem identification and solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse global (multi-office) workshare environment.
• Ability to work under pressure of multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
