Position Summary:

The Project Services Business Technician supports the successful execution of projects by providing technical, administrative, and operational support across project lifecycles. This role ensures accurate data management, assists in project planning and scheduling, and facilitates communication between cross-functional teams to meet project goals on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Support project managers with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and status reports.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of project materials and services.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and flag variances or risks.
  • Utilize project management software and tools to track progress and generate reports.
  • Participate in project meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a project support or coordination role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., construction, energy, IT].
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Project Management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based with occasional site visits or remote work as needed.
  • May require occasional travel depending on project location.
