FUNCTION: PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER

To expand our team, we are looking for an experiences Project Controls Manager. You will be responsible for performing Project Control activities. You will also be supervising the overall Project Controls effort for a project.

As Project Controls Manager you will serve as Control Team Leader on projects or as a Subject Manager Expert for the entire Project Controls Team in the Office.
This role may serve as lead cost, lead planner/scheduler, lead progress, or lead change management on large-sized projects.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• On small size projects, CTL takes on responsibilities of cost and planning
• Project controls set-up on projects with support from the Department Manager
• Responsible for the correct application of practices on projects
• Supports Project Management in achieving the as-sold objectives by implementing the requirements as described
• Develop, implement, and direct the total Project Controls program on projects or lead one of the Project Controls’ functions in a large project
• Develop and set up a cost control structure supporting the project’s breakdown structures
• Set up and facilitate Change Management on a project
• Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
• Manage the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provide status reporting
• Lead proposal efforts for cost/scheduling activities
• Provide meaningful, accurate historical data
• May fill the role of office Subject Matter Expert for a specific task or range of tasks
• Review project profit recognition; provide evaluation of opportunities with management
• Manage project schedule including critical path activities and review schedule float for schedule slippages
• Maintain working knowledge of the functionality of automated cost or scheduling management systems
• Coordinate internal and external audits

Basic Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master degree
• At least 15 years of work-related experience
• Fluent in English both verbal and written. Dutch and German are an advantage
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local and national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Experience with Scrum, Lean, Agile Methodologies or willingness to learn in practice
• Flexible and willingness to travel to project sites
• Preferred candidates live in Europe

Other Job Requirements:

• Participate in the development and implementation of training courses and mentoring of Project Controls personnel
• Support and actively participate in Fluor Project Controls Global Initiatives
