The Opportunity

Our client, an industry leader in the Rail Construction sector is looking for a Project Director to join their team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to further progress their careers with major projects in Canada. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the construction industry, with a strong desire to join a profitable and stable organization with lots of opportunity for future growth and career advancement.
 

Responsibilities

As a Project Director your experience will be proficient in accordance to internal and external stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of safety, budget, productivity, scheduling, quality control and management of project staff to ensure an efficient and timely completion of projects.

You will be a relationship builder, managing subcontractors, vendors and suppliers guaranteeing client satisfaction and retention. You will be a technical professional resource for the successful completion of challenging construction projects, with knowledge of different terrain and weather. Leadership is your passion emphasizing call communication channels with stakeholders and internal/external personnel to ensure work flows smoothly while providing first class construction services. The projects you have completed have been large in scale with knowledge of roads, bridges, heavy civil infrastructure and or/ rail. Oil and gas projects may be in your portfolio however, they must have a combination of heavy civil works. Lastly, you will have a passion for safety, implementing and providing leadership to all aspects of safety policies and procedures on every project.


Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• P.Eng is a nice to have but not a must
• 15+ years of relevant Project Management experience; PMP is a definite asset
• Must have Leadership experience on projects over $100 Million
