We currently seek an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Manager in Tampa, Florida for our client on a direct hire basis. This individual will support and manage a design team using innovative remedial technologies to address various contaminants in soil, groundwater, stormwater, and air. The right candidate will enrich and lead our client’s team of engineers and scientists in providing solutions to address contaminants such as PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, chlorinated solvents, and heavy metals for sites regulated under state.
The successful candidate will work on projects ranging from site investigations to regulatory compliance tasks, feasibility studies, and remedial design and/or implementation. Primarily for Dod and municipal clients, from small dry cleaners/gas stations to complex industrial facilities to major federal facilities.
Our client is a leading national compliance and environmental services firm that specializes in custom solutions in Environmental Management and Planning, Civil Design Engineering, Environmental Restoration, Natural & Water Resources, Health & Safety, and Technology.
Job Requirements:
- Lead and support remedial and process engineering projects and teams to design, construct, operate, and optimize systems.
- Provide client and project management and coordination of project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight.
- Manage fieldwork, compile data, prepare reports, and oversee projects.
- Evaluate data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling events, and modeling to develop remedial strategies.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections for remediation projects.
- CERCLA Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies.
- Prepare work plans and UFP-SAPs.
- Communicate with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
- Prepare, review, and mentor others in the development of design basis, technology feasibility analyses and selection, and design plans, specifications, and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- 7-15 years of relevant experience.
- PE or PG license required.
- Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M for soil, groundwater, stormwater, and air for a wide range of contaminants (PFAS, PCBS, chlorinated solvents).
- Knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA laws.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience with Phase II and feasibility studies.
- Strong consulting and client interaction experience. Strong communication.
- DoD experience (nice to have).
