JOB SUMMARY:
  • This position provides leadership in the organization or functional area and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs.
     
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review the client contract and any relevant subcontracts.
  • Verify with Project Director (PD) that Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the documents associated with the execution of all aspects of the project in accordance with contractual obligations, Client’s Operating System Requirements (OSR) and the relevant Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP).
  • Report to the PD that project requirements for Baseline Centric Execution, safety, quality, cost and productivity are met in all locations managed by the client where work is being performed.
  • Prepare draft for PD approval of the project baseline (as defined in the OSR) and ensure that it is fully documented, updated throughout all project phases, and communicated to the client project team.
  • Support the PD to deliver the project in accordance with the project execution and commercial baselines.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director (PD) to meet the as-sold profitability target established in the project commercial baseline.
  • Prepare for the PD review and approval of the contract summary and communicate it to the client project team members.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of a written scope of facilities and services and communicate it to Client project team members.
     
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal eleven (11) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • These are the typical years of experience required for this job.
  • Current Fluor employees may be considered for this position either sooner or later, depending on individual performance, potential, and job availability.
  • This applies to all jobs across all functions.
    Jobsite experience and understanding of construction safety programs.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience as Project Engineer or Specialist, or a project role of significant capacity such as Project Controls Lead, Contracts Lead, etc. and three (3) years’ experience as a design or construction engineer on projects.
