Project Manager

Our client is hiring Project Manager to advance their growing Airport Civil Engineering team in North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering projects at municipal, county, regional, and air carrier airports. If you are self-motivated, enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, and possess the communication skills necessary to coordinate with staff, review agencies, and other design disciplines, you could be the right fit for this position.

The functions of this position include:
Managing and coordinating with project teams
Coordinating with clients to ensure their complete satisfaction
Attending and representing the firm at public meetings
Leading design development and preparation of plans, specifications, design calculations, or other technical documents
Mentoring junior staff
Collecting and analyzing project data
Using AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
Using Microsoft Excel to calculate quantities and develop cost estimates.
Coordinating the efforts of subconsultants
Working with other design disciplines
Assisting with future staff hires as necessary
Assisting with project proposals
Communicating clearly and working in a team-oriented environment

Minimum qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
8 years of design experience
Airport design experience
Project management experience

Preferred qualifications:
NCDEQ or NCDOT Erosion Control Design
Grading and drainage design experience
