QA/QC Inspector

Core task
Requirements are for a quality specialist with the experience stated in the attached to conduct an initial audit ideally prior to scheduled manufacturing start (c.19 April) followed by up to three further visits depending on findings, to include final article inspection after manufacture.

Location is Penglai Dajin Offshore Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, Penglai, China.

To monitor supplier activities (wind turbine tower fabrication) and assure they are in accordance with requirements stated in EN ISO 9001:2015 and the Alcamo II TSA - in particular that supplier QA/QC processes will satisfy the requirements of construction regulations especially with regards to material traceability.
To identify any potential QAQC issues which may have a potential negative impact on tower construction.
To identify any health and safety issues which may cause danger to the environment or personnel.
To assure supplier is recording during the construction phase so as to produce full supporting documentation in accordance to the requirements of contract and EN ISO 9001:2015 with particular reference to the requirements of Italian construction regulations.
To inform client well in advance of any HOLD points according ITAP. To assure all documentation is presented for clients review well before scheduled HOLD point.
To perform extensive in-house physical inspection monitoring of the equipment construction quality. Assure all welding is being performed within stated parameters on the weld procedure specification. Assure all weld non-destructive testing is within requirements of the ITAP and operators are correctly qualified and testing is fully documented.
To monitor corrosion protection operations from surface preparation through to final coating. Assure all stages of coatings are documented accurately and within the requirements of the relevant EN standard.
During every inspection visit to supplier, review status of the preparation of the end of construction Manufacturing Record Books. Contents should be reviewed so as to identify any possible documents that may be missing from end supply.
To produce written comprehensive reports in the English language to be forwarded to client within a 48 hour period after completion of inspection visit.
To monitor general working practices of workforce with direct reference to health and safety of all personnel. Monitor practices deemed to have a possible impact on the environment. To monitor shift-patterns at suppliers and note expected workload completion by suppliers personnel. Record any instances that may present a possible concern for the mental wellbeing of employees.
