Quantity Surveyor – Shape the Future of Groningen’s Data Centres!
About The Role
Play a crucial role in delivering high-quality data centre projects for a leading construction specialist in Groningen, Netherlands. You'll be the quantity surveyor, ensuring accurate cost estimating, procurement, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Location: Groningen, Netherlands
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for all aspects of data centre projects, considering risks and opportunities.
- Manage the procurement process for materials and equipment, securing the best value for the project.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, identifying and managing cost variances.
- Oversee subcontract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Provide cost advice and reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost estimating and procurement practices.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and cost trends in data centre construction.
- Uphold the company's core values in your daily work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, preferably with data centre experience.
- A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a built environment discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., SMM7, CCS) and commercial databases.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
