Your Responsibilities:
- Manage Risk Management Model (RM3) activities, including coordinating audits.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and conduct Risk Assessments, evaluating their outcomes.
- Provide expert advice to a motivated risk and compliance team.
- Lead the team, coach and mentor direct reports, and ensure high performance with continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement risk and compliance policies, ensuring safety requirements are met.
- Establish regular and ad hoc risk and compliance reporting processes.
- Support continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster reliable collaboration with stakeholders.
- Establish industry-best practices in compliance with regulations and trends.
- Assist with inspections or audits by Contracting Authorities.
- Implement robust risk and compliance systems.
- Lead risk and compliance projects as needed.
- Drive an inclusive culture promoting equity, diverse perspectives, and career advancement opportunities.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of risk management experience, preferably in rail or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, Statistics, or related field; or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Desirable certifications: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM), Project Management Institute (PMI) - Risk Management Professional (RMP).
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
- Familiarity with AACE recommended practices for risk and contingency development.
- Proficient in using Monte Carlo risk assessment tools.
- Experience in large, complex projects (brownfield or greenfield).
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, creating systems and policies with limited resources and quick yet high-quality implementation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Risk and Compliance principles and legal regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, intercultural environments.
- Strong analytical abilities, handling pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with technical and commercial terms in contract management.
- Advocate for inclusion and diversity.
