Rolling Stock - Technical Manager

POSITION: Rolling Stock Technical Manager
Location: Riyadh


We are working with a multi-national consultancy who are looking to hire a Technical Manager - Rolling Stock for a long term role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia working on multiple projects.

The role will be primarily responsible for leading the technical analysis, technical service elements and delivery to client of all rolling stock related aspects of the projects, including assessment/auditing, integration with the infrastructure and lifecycle management from procurement to de-commissioning, with a primary focus on heavy freight, mainline passenger applications and fleet maintenance.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, as you'll be expected to interact with international colleagues, executives and clients representatives on a frequent basis, and with the entrepreneurial spirit to understand when a new opportunity has materialized and take the initiative to lead and ultimately realize it.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree (or equivalent industry experience), Chartered Engineer qualification is a plus
Desired 10 or more years’ experience in a similar role. Lack of years of experience can be compensated by project exposure, skills and attitude.

Experience required in:
- leading railway projects, whilst working in delivery, systems consultancy or operations & maintenance
- technical feasibility, requirements specifications or technical integration between rolling stock and infrastructure systems
- direct client & external stakeholders management
- multidisciplinary experience in one or more rolling stock domains (heavy freight, commuter, rapid transit/light rail, heavy rail, etc.). Experience in both freight and passenger domains is considered a plus.

- fleet procurement/introduction
- rolling stock maintenance
- working in a consultancy
- rolling stock assessment / certification / homologation
- light rail
- risk analysis, RAM and safety
- asset management
