TRS is seeking an experienced Industrial Site Safety Specialist for a direct hire position within our client’s growing team of professionals in the Chesnee, SC area. The position reports to the Safety Manager, the primary responsibility of this position is to interact directly with contractors and plant employees on a day-to-day basis to ensure a culture of safety and managing any incidents that arise.

Responsibilities Include:
Providing safety and health assistance to management, supervisors, employees, and collateral duty safety representatives
Conducting incident reports and entering reports and findings into safety management systems
Providing specialty safety services and assessments addressing requirements that include ergonomics and industrial hygiene
Providing outreach to employees, promoting safety awareness throughout the organization.
Investigating complaints and reports of unsafe or unhealthful working conditions; provide recommendations for abatement action; and verify completion of abatement action
Support implementation and maintenance of site safety programs
Promote plant “Zero Harm Safety Culture” by supporting safety initiatives.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements Include:
3 – 5 years of hands-on safety program experience in an industrial environment.
Knowledgeable in developing and delivering customer training one-on-one, in groups, in classrooms, and via web-delivered media
Skilled at performing safety audits, inspections, and evaluations to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions in accordance with regulatory requirements
Experience with maintaining recordkeeping for injury/illness cases in accordance with OSHA requirements
Mechanical or electrical trade experience preferred.
Must have Word, Excel & PowerPoint experience.
