Location: **REMOTE** (Office Located in Greenville, SC)
Industry: Metals Manufacturing
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, non-exempt
Compensation: negotiable
Reports to: Site Controller
Job Duties:
- Primary responsibility for business development strategy, including business planning and execution that leads to outstanding performance
- Lead all pricing and contract negotiation that leads to performance to our manageable assets: Margin, Inventory, Receivables
- Generate leads and develop a strong book of business with both new and repeat customers
- Promote a partnership environment with all personnel at our locations and sister companies
- Manage balance of direct sale and toll processing businesses to maximum long term profits and diversification strategy
- Guide a coordinated customer service effort that is best in class for our customers
- Operate in accordance with our other divisions, as there will be many shared customers
- Recruit & retain a highly engaged sales staff focused on profitable business development
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public
- Travel up to 50-75% depending on customer requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5-15 years’ previous experience in steel sales required
- High School diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to meet company insurability standards
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing and distribution of material required
- Experience with CRM preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers and customers required
- Strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft applications required
