Security Manager (construction site)
The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and property at a construction site. They play a crucial role in implementing security protocols, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security plans tailored to the construction site's needs.
- Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Manage access control systems to restrict unauthorized entry.
- Verify the identity of individuals entering the construction site.
- Supervise of installation and monitor surveillance equipment, such as cameras and alarms.
- Conduct regular security patrols and inspections.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Coordinate responses to incidents, accidents, or security breaches.
- Train construction site staff on security protocols and procedures.
- Ensure that workers are aware of safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services if needed.
- Maintain communication with relevant authorities.
- Document security incidents and prepare incident reports.
- Assist in investigations related to security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Security Management, Criminal Justice).
- Relevant certifications in security management is a plus.
- Proven experience in security management, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of security technology and systems.
- Ability to make quick decisions and handle high-pressure situations.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of responding effectively to security challenges.
