The Client:
Our client is an innovative, employee-owned consulting engineering business that specializes in the design and delivery of engineering solutions for clients in the Transport, Roads & Highways, Property, Ports and Marine, Water, Renewables and Defence sectors.
The Role:
Our client is seeking to appoint a civil engineer with significant engineering design experience, and the desire to lead and mentor developing engineers within the civil group.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a pivotal role supporting the Perth transport & infrastructure team where you will manage projects, delegate workload, and interface with key clients.
- Lead and oversee major civil engineering projects for transport & infrastructure, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering professional growth.
- Oversee the preparation of technical reports and ensure compliance with relevant MRWA & Austroads standards (or similar).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions and manage client relationships.
- Drive innovation in civil engineering, oversee quality control processes, and contribute to the company’s strategic planning and operational leadership
Qualifications & Experience:
You will be responsible for delivering innovative and technical advice and designs on a broad range of projects for transport, urban redevelopment, and highways, among others.
- Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, particularly in the Transport & Infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing large scale multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Wealth of knowledge in Australian design standards including MRWA, Austroads and local authority requirements.
- Proven record of accomplishment in leading roads, highways & freeways projects successfully through planning, concept design, detailed design, and construction phases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client engagement and stakeholder management
- Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or working towards it is highly desirable
