Senior Auditor

We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, an energy industry leader who are seeking a Senior Auditor to join their team in Calgary, AB. This individual would hold responsibility in executing internal audit work, completing tasks such as assessing risk, developing audit programs and performance criteria, reviewing evidence and documenting client processes. This role would be an opportunity to take charge of staff auditors and would require exceptional leadership capabilities while guiding others to handle highly sensitive information.

Job Duties:
- Representation and revision of internal audits as a part of organizational special project teams, providing input to development of the annual
audit plan
- Providing mentorship and guidance to staff auditors, providing mentorship and guidance to these individuals
- Developing written reports and oral presentations to communicate in an effective manner to relevant stakeholders
- Revision of audit documentation, administering surveys, conducting interviews, and composing memos
- Determining best practices for business process, risk management, governance and required internal controls

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college institution; Masters level degree is an asset
- CIA CPA or CISA designation is required; CFE designation is an asset
- 5+ years of relevant auditing or public account work experience; experience in the Oil and Gas industry is an asset but not required
- Advanced computer program skills in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft applications
- Willingness to travel (up to 20%) to required international and domestic locations
