Senior Civil Engineering Manager
We currently seek a high-caliber Senior Civil Engineering Manager for a direct hire basis within our Client’s team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision

  • Champion core values including Culture, Ethics, Performance, Compliance, Schedule, Client Alignment, and Employee Utilization.
  • Lead and manage the Civil Engineering team across multiple regions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Recruit, hire, and train Civil Engineering staff.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute growth strategies.
Technical Oversight
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand technical capabilities within the Civil Engineering discipline.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Process, Mechanical, Electrical).
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert and Engineer of Record (PE license required in multiple states).
  • Ensure quality assurance across projects and maintain alignment with industry standards.
  • Support project execution, proposal development, and field operations.
Training & Development
  • Guide career pathing and professional development for Civil Engineering staff.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers and foster a strong team identity.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define training strategies and growth plans.
  • Assist in workforce planning and resource allocation.
Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement process enhancements and standardization tools.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
  • Support company-wide calculator, template, and tool standardization.
Business Development
  • Review and approve proposals, cost estimates, and staffing plans.
  • Support client engagement, including meetings, presentations, and project support.
  • Help grow business opportunities by maintaining and expanding client relationships.
  • Monitor market trends and prioritize high-potential business development efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited); Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership/management experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong project management and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of civil engineering principles and industry codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
