Our client, an industry leader in the Construction sector is looking for a Construction Coordinator/Manager to join their team in Winnipeg, Regina or Saskatoon. The ideal individual will have previous experience working directly on Transportation projects including other aspects such as highways, urban and rural roads, cycling lanes, intersection upgrades, development roads, twinning, bypass lanes, etc . This key individual will be involved with the growth of a new division and growing business.
Responsibilities
As a Construction Manager your experience will be proficient in accordance to internal and external stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of safety, budget, productivity, scheduling, quality control and management of project staff.
• Relationship builder, managing subcontractors & constructability, have the ability to review drawings including interfaces and possible problem areas, including job site inspections
• Coordinate and monitor work of contractors and core team to review procurement, material quantities, planning and scheduling
• Strong understanding of construction requirements from pre-award, pre-construction; Performance and kick off meetings
• Review and verify applicable code, engineering practices and shop drawings
• Contract management; RFIs, Site Instructions, Proposed Change Notices and Change Orders.
• Work closely with contactors, subcontractors and inspectors; supervising, training and assisting.
Qualifications
• Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• C.E.T is desired, P.Eng is a nice to have but not a must
• 6-10+ years of relevant Project Management experience; PMP is a definite asset
• Must have proven Leadership experience on projects involving Transportation projects;
