SENIOR COST CONTROLLER

We are looking for a Senior Cost control for our client in Arabia

Position Summary:

Responsible to develop, implement and maintain the Cost Control tools and methodology to provide support and ensure the project budget in E&C accurately reflects the current and future performance of the project.

Main responsibilities and duties:

• To develop and improve the procedures and technical instructions that the department will need to standardize, in all the worldwide Company Offices and projects, the project’s Cost Control and the cost control reporting methodology, using Oracle Primavera Cost Control Tool and ensuring the correct communication between Primavera Cost Control and SAP.
• Facilitates multi-Country Offices and Projects, interactive cost control, training and following up sessions.
• Ensures the training to the project administrators and project local Cost Controllers, on the process of entering a billing (manual business processes) into the Cost control Software
• Ensures that the Project Managers are following a process of identifying and documenting changes to the project scope, ensuring the Project Managers understand the process of entering a budget change in the Cost Control E&C System, and reviews cost codes allocated to the job.
• Ensures that the approved project’s budget, as well as revenues and expenses changes are supported with approved documentation and maintained in the project files.

• Updates the SAP “PEP economical structure”, to the desegregate CBS (Cost Brake down Structure) needed for control the project’s cost, in a deeper detail. At the same time, collaborates with the engineering and bids department to classify the BOQ (Balance of Quantities), to the CBS structure.
• Guaranties the production of weekly/monthly economic and cash flow reports for E&C project’s management.
• Elaborate the Cost Control KPIs
• Budgetary Control in Primavera Cost Control and SAP in collaboration with the financial department
• Prepare the cost baseline of the project
• Prepare the budgetary impact of the Change Control Orders
• Elaborate the Cost Project Risk and deviation analysis in order to implement corrective actions
• Review the monthly invoices/ certifications issued by subcontractors
• Issue the monthly report.

Financial Project Update:

• -Monthly update of budget committed and expended to date
• -Prepare and update budget forecast based on schedule baseline and Project Manager estimations
• -Cash-Flow and budget monthly update. Preparation of cost reports
• -Review the Financial impact of Change Requests
• -Establish the payment terms based on Project purchase Orders
• -Ensure that worked hours and travel expenses of all team members are charged to the Project
• -Control and Reporting of actual costs execution vs accruals/ RF and Budget

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Economics (preferred) At least 6 to 8 years working in EPC Cost Control.

Skills:, expert user qualifications in MS Office tools, user qualifications in SAP, Oracle’s Primavera Cost Control User (preferred) and PMBock International Degree (preferred). Excellent interaction and communication skills, excellent organization and leaderships skills, team player, effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Languages: English high level

Expertise: EPC Cost Controller, with proved responsibilities in similar functions defined above, in Construction or Consulting Companies.
