“TRS is looking for a Senior Mechanical Technician with Oil and Gas Offshore project experience to join our Client’s project team, to ensure that operating parameters for all mechanical and rotating equipment on Offshore Facilities are operating within design limits. This role will be based Offshore in GABON.”

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures that operating parameters for all mechanical and rotating equipment on Offshore Facilities are operating within design limits and that abnormalities are communicated and assessed immediately.
• Carries out daily preventative maintenance routines and breakdown maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Complies with all the company HSE programs, reporting incidents/ Near misses and completing assigned action items.
• Maintaining accurate daily logs of all maintenance activities and completing maintenance history and parts usage.
• Raise mechanical NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and monitor progress until the work is completed and the issue resolved.
• Member of the Offshore Emergency Response Team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited qualification / academic training suitable to hold this position.
• Minimum 10 years of directly related experience in the Oil and Gas industry (including OFFSHORE).
• Valid and up to date BOSIET Certificate.
• Knowledge of hazardous areas classifications and hazardous area equipment certification: The incumbent has to have knowledge of hazardous areas and hazardous area equipment certification.
• Experienced in the operation and maintenance of industrial dual fuel Gas Turbines, Caterpillar/Waukesha engine.
• Good knowledge of principle of desalination especially reverse osmosis units.
• Operation of and the Installation and removal of mechanical seals
• Good knowledge of the hazards associated with manual handling and operation and maintenance requirements of lifting equipment including offshore cranes and inspection requirements under design code API RP2D.
• The use of hydraulic bolt torque and tensioning equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance of high-pressure piping systems.
• Good knowledge of the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Relief Valve testing and recertification.
• Leveling and alignment of rotating equipment
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of centrifugal compressors, centrifugal pumps, air compressors and dryers, fin fan air coolers, pedestal cranes, diesel engine drivers, and utility packages e.g., electro chlorination unit, Reverse Osmosis unit and sewage treatment.
