Senior Operations Manager

Our client is a major player in oil and gas industry and are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join their team in Fort McMurray, AB. In this role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the service delivery for the clients and sites that you oversee. You must have the ability to develop key relationships with staff ranging from general managers to field staff.

Key Job Duties:
• Oversee planning, estimating, and operational deliverables
• Review budgeting and financial forecasting
• Run incident investigations when necessary to support site supervision
• Supervise and direct the work of staff under their responsibility
• Manage the RFI/RFP process for securing work (including negotiating contracts)

Key Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in business or management is an asset
• Minimum of 10 years working in a leadership role is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years working in the resource sector focusing on industrial and plant maintenance
• 5+ years’ experience managing subcontracts and vendors
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
