This is an opportunity to assist on some of the largest and most technically advanced energy and data center infrastructure projects in the United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide immediate technical support in event of SCADA system malfunctions, including emergency response and resolution of issues to minimize downtime working closely with O&M, Asset Management, Contractors, and field teams.
• Analyze data collected from the field to identify trends, diagnose system issues, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Support development and implementation of maintenance strategies for SCADA hardware and software, ensuring long-term sustainability and compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor and implement firmware and software updates.
Support SCADA-related projects, including system/feature upgrades and expansions, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and on-budget completion.
• Ensure all SCADA operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for cybersecurity and data protection.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements in SCADA systems and renewable energy to recommend and implement improvements to our operations.
• Provide SCADA subject matter expertise support during the commissioning and validation of greenfield pipeline projects.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA systems, preferably in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and battery storage.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, energy management systems, PV and battery storage technologies.
• Proficient in Ignition, Canary Labs, SEL Hardware & Software, GE RX3i, Data Loggers, Meteorological Equipment, etc.
• Proficient in programming languages commonly used in SCADA system development and maintenance (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques for performance monitoring and optimization.
• Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity practices related to industrial control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
