TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Structural Design Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry. 

Responsibilities:
 

• Collaborate with procurement, construction, and permitting teams to support project delivery.
• Review and validate engineering drawings, vendor submittals, and fabrication details.
• Conduct structural analysis and design for steel and concrete systems, including foundations and dynamic equipment supports.
• Provide technical leadership on small to mid-sized projects and mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor documentation for technical compliance and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
• Perform detailed calculations and modeling using industry-standard software and hand methods.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, design criteria, and engineering documentation.
• Develop innovative and cost-conscious structural solutions aligned with project goals and execution strategies.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience in industrial or resource-based sectors.
• Familiarity with construction practices, vendor coordination, and field engineering support.
• Strong understanding of seismic and wind load design, dynamic analysis, and structural behavior.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Experience with structural modeling, design of heavy foundations, and equipment support systems.
• Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer.
• Prior involvement in mining, energy, or heavy industrial projects.
• Proficient in structural codes, standards, and engineering software tools.
