Sustainable Transportation Lead

Our client, pioneers in consulting and planning practice with key clients all over Montreal, Ottawa, GTA Hamilton, and also in the USA, are seeking a Sustainable Transportation Lead for their team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will lead the Planning team to work with both public and private clients regarding the following policies: transportation engineering, transit planning, operations modelling, and sustainable transportation planning.

Responsibilities:
• Grow, manage, plan and lead development projects for both internal and external clients in the Montreal and Ottawa region, in conjunction with the Toronto Office
• Strategize business for our client across all facilities (consulting, buildings and infrastructure) to initialize decarbonization, with primary focus on electrification of transit
• Maintain and nurture client relationships, identify and develop market leads, prepare proposals and represent the company at events through public presentations
• Lead, manage and mentor staff
• Take responsibility of projects as a whole, by maintaining client relationships, managing staff and subcontractors, and handling financial management as well

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, City and Regional Planning, or relevant disciplines
• P.Eng, MCIP or RPP Certification
• Fluency in French
• 10+ years of prior relevant professional experience in the Quebec market
• Must have prior experience of leading a team and demonstrating project management skills
• Experience with dealing with entities within the City/ Municipality, such as Metrolinx, GTAA, MTO, Villa de Montreal, Federal Government, ARTM, Airports, Developers, Investors, and/or Contractors
• Proven ability to win clients and projects
• Previous clients attesting to candidates’ project delivery and technical skills
