Tank Maintenance/Repair Engineer

TRS Middle East is recruiting for a Tank Maintenance/Repair Engineer for a leading Refinery in the Middle East

Job Summary
To provide detailed technical and commercial service in coordinating Mechanical and Tank Repair projects and other routine works.
Key Results Area
- Provide guidance and advice to Tank Repair Supervisor to ensure that on site Mechanical works are performed to the highest standards and to ensure compliance with the Company’s standards and specifications
- Review repair works list / engineering drawings and will prepare technical and tender specifications for mechanical maintenance works to ensure Specs & company’s standards
- Issue Purchase orders complying with company’s purchasing procedures
- Ensure Contractors QMS’s are reviewed, approved and applied effectively
- Prepare cost estimates achieving best value to company and within budgets
- Monitor costs to ensure estimates are not exceeded
- Frequent site visits ensuring all personal comply with company’s EHS regulations
- Endorse Contractors time sheets ensuring only applicable costs are charged
- Review and approve Contractors stock issue material requests to ensure minimize overall cost and wastage
- Reconstruction of tank & tank decommissioning expertise
Knowledge & Skills
- B. Sc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 Years experience in Petrochemical / Oil & Gas industry as Project Engineer on Tank Construction / Maintenance Works
- In-depth understanding of API standards
- Knowledge in administering Contracts from tendering through to completion
- Sound knowledge of HSE & QA/QC requirements within Oil Refining & Petrochemical Industries
