TRS Staffing are excited to announce an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager.

The Technical Manager will be responsible for the Maintenance, Facility and Manufacturing Engineering teams and is responsible for:

  • Provide leadership for 5 direct and over 100 indirect reports;
  • Initiate, lead and drive change initiatives, embedding Cl and Lean methodologies;
  • Guaranteeing the optimum daily technical operation of the Dordrecht plant;
  • Site-level reliability strategy and resource plan;
  • Facility management;
  • Provide leadership on asset management planning, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and long-term maintenance outages.
  • The technology program to improve plant performance in line with stakeholder requirements.
  • The technology program is focused on improved safety, reducing environmental footprint and business performance, to meet the expectations of its stakeholders. Stakeholders include the community, employees and business.

Leadership & key responsibilities

  • Partner with the Site Leadership Managers to leverage organizational knowledge and drive transformation in the business, to ensure optimum plant performance.
  • Goal-oriented manager who is a positive yet resilient influence and role model leader that initiates, and drives change and has a proven track record of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Provide functional strategies to guide and drive the daily execution, performance improvement and career development for Maintenance, Facility and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • Provide day-to-day team leadership, coach managers and manage the annual Performance Management and Development processes to maintain a robust staff that evolves into future leaders and is resilient to unexpected events.
  • Successfully partner and influence with senior stakeholders in production and capital organizations to ensure reliability and maintenance organizations' success.
  • Effectively manage capital budgets and create a more sufficient process to manage costs, including building robust processes.
  • Promote best practice sharing, benchmarking and talent development.
  • Actively initiate and promote new ways of working, applying Lean and Cl methodologies.
  • Create functional strategies to promote and advance Organizational Health within the relevant communities.
  • Shaping the technology program and driving the implementation in alignment with stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide leadership for the development of asset management plans, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and long-term maintenance outages.

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or another technical field.
  • Proven leadership experience, having managed managers as direct reports.
  • At least 7 years of direct reliability and maintenance management experience in a PSM regulated Manufacturing or Chemical Plant environment.
  • Experience in Maintenance & Reliability best practices, root cause analysis, criticality analysis and lifecycle management
  • Experience driving large scale improvement programs within a manufacturing/maintenance organization
  • Proven track record of leading change within a large manufacturing facility.
  • Experience setting strategies to achieve business directives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
