We are currently looking for a Transport & Installation Manager for project based in Germany for a large Offshore Wind Project.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Degree in civil / structural engineering, naval architecture, ocean engineering, or a closely aligned discipline.
• Strong technical skills and significant proven experience in the design, construction, installation, or integrity management of offshore floating wind energy structures.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and succinct manner.
For the role of Transport & Installation manager you will have demonstrable competence and experience of working in development of a major offshore floating wind project including:

• Liaising with teams across a diverse interdisciplinary landscape;
• Support in engaging with supply chain
• Utilising digital and virtual platforms;
• Managing the preparation of T&I concepts and T&I cost modelling for stating and offshore installation of floating offshore wind farms.

Skills:
• A good understanding of the relevant Transport & Installation concepts and processes;
• Experience in offshore installation planning and cost modelling;
• Working market knowledge concerning floating turbine foundation, dynamic cable and subsea mooring concepts;
• Analytical skills – ability to work to a high level of accuracy and to produce a high standard of written work;
• Evidence of success in advocacy amongst stakeholders and forming/maintaining working relationships in a multi-disciplinary environment;
• Experience of largescale infrastructure projects and consultations;
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to structure work to meet deadlines;
• The ability to respond to changing priorities and demands and adopt a flexible approach to working.

This work will therefore have two primary scopes:

1. Transport & Installation / Logistics Modelling:
a. Be involved in the development of robust and foremost safe offshore installation operations in regard to floating wind
b. Based on project assumptions develop and analyse offshore transport and installation concepts using existing tools;
c. Perform weather downtime analysis and cost analysis using existing tools;
d. Drive further development of existing tools to refine transport & installation concepts for floating wind;
e. Attending and contributing to project meetings, including chairing relevant coordination meetings;
f. Proactively drive and develop the logistics concepts of the project(s);
g. Provide reports, notes, updates etc as required to inform the wider project team and stakeholders on progress and ensure consistent project planning;
h. Liaise with key internal stakeholders in relation to all aspects of project’s T&I concept and modelling;
i. Review and challenge installation companies on installation approaches, timelines in order to de-risk the installation schedule

2. Drive extension of T&I aspects of Floating Learning Project:
a. Regularly update Floating Learning Documentation
b. Create detailed documentation on generic concepts to further develop Floating Learning project;
