Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineer

TRS Staffing is now partnering with an engineering consultancy offering engineering, surveying and environmental services to provide an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineer in British Columbia.

As the Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineer, the individual will be required to work on some of the most prestigious projects in Western Canada. This ideal contributor to this role would need to have expert stakeholder and public consultation skills and a keen eye to solve complex problems. This candidate would need to collect data and conduct analysis on transportation systems, create proposals, prepare designs and reports for highways, roads, access roads, trails, etc. as well as create transportation network modelling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Must have prior experience in design management, transportation studies, safety studies and business development
• Eng Certification is a must
• Proficiency in traffic software, such as Synchro/Sim Traffic, VISUM, VISSIM, EMME
• Strong knowledge of TAC, BC MOTI and AT Design Standards
• Exceptional communication skills and motivated to work in a team environment
