Engineer – WHSE (Agar Malwa, MP)
We are seeking a proactive Workplace Health, Safety & Environment (WHSE) Engineer with a strong electrical engineering background and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar and wind assets. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of expertise in renewable energy projects, with a deep understanding of AC/DC shutdown requirements, turbine maintenance, and electrical safety standards.
This role is pivotal in ensuring WHSE compliance, mitigating risks in live operational environments, and embedding a strong safety culture across our renewable energy sites.
Key Responsibilities

Safety Protocol Development: Establish and enforce site-specific safety procedures for O&M tasks, including blade repairs, inverter maintenance, crane lifts, and confined space entry.

Daily Inspections: Perform routine safety audits and risk assessments on solar PV farms, wind turbines, substations, and high-voltage systems.

Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses, preparing reports compliant with Indian Electricity Rules (IER) and the Factories Act.

Team Training: Deliver training on electrical safety (LOTO, PPE for 11kV+ systems), work-at-height protocols, and emergency response procedures.

Operational Collaboration: Work with operations leads to integrate safety into maintenance schedules, ensuring PTW systems and electrical isolation procedures minimize downtime.

Environmental Compliance: Oversee waste management, oil spill prevention, and sustainability audits for renewable assets.

Emergency Preparedness: Create and update emergency response plans for fire, electrical shock, natural hazards, and rescue operations.

Performance Monitoring: Track WHSE metrics, KPIs, and digital records, ensuring timely compilation and reporting of monthly MIS with analysis.
Candidate Profile

3–5 years of experience in solar/wind O&M.

Strong knowledge of electrical equipment, HV systems, and safety requirements.

Hands-on expertise in shutdown procedures, turbine maintenance, and preventive safety practices.

Ability to foster a safety-first culture and drive compliance across teams.
