Fire Safety System Technical Writer
We currently seek a high caliber Fire Safety System Technical Writer for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Liberty County, state of Georgia.

Position Overview:
Will work under site manager’s direction performing the following tasks, writing, tracking and finalizing of Service Orders, maintain ITM schedule, updating monitoring station data, manage tools and parts inventory, etc. Current USACE background check or possession of a Common Access Card (CAC), and certifications in or experience with Monaco / Notifier / Firelite / Simplex systems is desired.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma a must
• Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as some familiarity with industry practices
• Experience on Federal / Military installations is a plus
• Candidate shall have minimum 2-years’ experience and current NICET I Fire Alarm Systems / NICET I or II Fire Alarm Inspection and Testing. Shall have knowledge of NFPA 72 Inspection and Testing methods and frequencies. Ability to install and service all components of a Fire Alarm System. A desire to learn new systems and advance in Fire Alarm certifications. Work on call occasionally.
• Minimum of Two (2) years of related experience with systems servicing and (ITMs) Inspections, Testing and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems.
• Must have Two (2) years’ experience in servicing and repair of fire alarm systems. Working on Military Installations a PLUS
• Must have experience with fully addressable systems including (Monaco, Honeywell, Firelite or Notifier). Mass Notification experience a PLUS –
• Experience w/ Federal Signal (Giant Voice) systems


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
• Excellent computer skills are required.
• Proficient with Excel is a must. Should have skill set to use all features offered on spreadsheet.
• requires good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
