Railcar Blaster

TRS Craft Services is hiring Railcar Blasters.

BLASTING:
• Operates stationary blasting equipment to remove scale and other foreign substances from inside and/or outside of cars and other materials.
• Removes foreign matter from grit.
• Dismantles parts of machines to remove foreign matter when stopped up.
• Makes valve adjustments and minor repairs to blasting equipment and checks proper gauge to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Cleans cars as required before and after blasting
REPAIRING:
• Adjust and repair rail cars, rolling stock, and mine cars.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions.
• Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears.
• Reassemble heavy equipment.
• Repair large equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have Rail Car Repair, Hydro Blasting and Confined Space experience
• Valid TWIC Card and Basic Plus & Confirmed Space Awareness Training
• Fit Tested for the Scott AV-2000 full face breathing air mask
• DISA Background
