DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Weld small and large components such as structural steel and piping.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Maintain and repair all machinery.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Able to pull measurements for fitting.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures
• Comply with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time, and work nights, weekends and holidays, if required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:
• 2+ years of progressive welding experience
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Professional Certified Welder or Certified Welding Fabricator preferred, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of metallurgy.
• Knowledge of various welding techniques, including Pipe, TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding.
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and status.
• Attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
• Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
• Results-oriented and able to manage multiple processes and activities simultaneously.
• Continued education and training to obtain certification through the American Welding Society.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Clean, safe driving record.
• Good organization and follow-through abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
• Dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position.
• Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work.
• Regularly stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
• Climb ladders of varying heights.
• Ability to maneuver in crawl spaces, attics, and utility tunnels.
• Ability to work at extreme heights.
• Lift moderate to heavy objects up to 100 lbs.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL(THIS IS A TRAVEL JOB)
Pay Rate $23-$26
Per Diem Offered
