Accountant

TRS Staffing is seeking an Accountant for a petrochemical client in Lake Charles, LA.


Position Responsibilities:
• Analyzes production data generated and communicates to Sr. Accountants and production unit managers.
• Performs daily MBS balancing for production calculations and entry into SAP.
• Execute month end closing responsibilities to meet Group’s monthly closing deadlines.
• Reconciles revenue and production cost to the General Ledger. Analyzes current month vs. prior month variances.
• Reconciles accrued and deferred accounts on a monthly basis.

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus 3 years accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Excel and SAP required
• Requires good analytical ability, flexibility, excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills
• Requires a general knowledge of accounting principles to understand their impact on company earnings and explain this impact to plant & commercial management.
