Mission:
- Ensure specialised technical support for the development, improvement and maintenance of Saipem fleet and related equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with all other internal functions to identify technical needs for vessels, land rigs, equipment upgrades or new builds.
- Develop feasibility study and conceptual design to meet the internal/external client’s requirements, defining execution plan in order to develop new capabilities and innovative solutions.
- Based on defined requirements, identify materials/services necessary for the project and, in collaboration with procurement department, monitor purchasing process until order completion.
- Ensure technical support to the project for the implementation of the maintenance and the corrective actions to be implemented to solve the daily technical problems, within the assigned budgets.
- Coordinate subcontractors for the installation and commissioning of related equipment, in accordance with class rules and standards (i.e. DNV, ABS, etc.) when required.
- On the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, promptly notify the spare part requirements to compensate for deviations from routine and special maintenance demands.
- Plan necessary actions that shall be put in place to prepare assets for storage, including long-term preservation, handling and put back in operations.
- Notify obsolete equipment, with request for relevant disposal proposal from balance sheet and assistance for intercompany sales and agreements (coordination of shipping, assessment of the value of assets, etc.)
- Prepare and issue operating procedures, corporate criteria and best practices for optimization of fleet activities.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related field).
- A minimum of 4 years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) - ASQ.
- ISO 55000 asset management training.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI.
