Our client based in Newcastle is looking for an Engineering Coordinator. This role is on an initial one-year contract based outside IR35. As the Engineering Coordinator you will have the following:
Key responsibilities, accountabilities, and decision ownership:
  • Provide technical coordination between engineering teams, acting as the interface between design organisations.
  • Monitor programme and report on deliverables progress.
  • Support coordination of internal assurance and review activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and assist in managing via contractual mechanisms.
  • Chair and record meetings ensuring actions are logged and followed up.
  • Support the Principal Designers Representative in chairing and coordinating hazard reviews.
  • Liaise with construction teams to prioritise design activities.
  • Coordinate technical queries between site team and design office.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
  • Minimum 3yrs experience within a Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and efficient manner.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable county, province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Accredited degree or global equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluent in English Language.
  • Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD &/or Revit
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Desirable: Experience in delivering power or transmission infrastructure projects, or projects within a heavily regulated environment.
  • Desirable: Experience working with BIM models
