In this role, the qualified candidate will be managing the execution of the third party maintenance contractor at the large workforce accommodation lodge. Some duties include managing inventory of all maintenance parts, reviewing plans for maintenance of lodge and approving all safe work practices for facility work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the vendor for standardization of maintenance, and installation techniques that that are required to achieve cost reduction while maintaining levels of service
- Coordinates labor, materials and other resources to carry out construction activities in accordance with the IFC plans and specifications
- Schedule and allocate required work to contractors to meet priorities
- Coordinates with other site construction groups and manages any interface issues to support work as required
- Coordinates with area authority for permitting requirements
- Reviews, manages and implements detailed plans for maintenance of lodge and NPA buildings including a large Water and Waste Water Plant, managed by third party vendor
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing subcontractors and being in a maintenance position
- Strong collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills
- Experience in a broad scope of Non-Producing Assets, covering a wide range of services and equipment, including large lodge facility operation and maintenance, potable and waste water treatment, and waste management
- Working knowledge of BC Building Code, Technical Safety BC and WorkSafe BC requirements
- Experience with construction, technical and engineering activities on large scale projects
