We have an exciting opportunity for Chemical Trading Manager role to join my client's team.
Job Description:
- To develop and implement trading strategies for the group.
- To prepare and share the plan including customers, suppliers, and products in each market for next three years within first quarter of joining.
- Develop an entirely new business with all principals & customers on behalf of Organization and start to deliver the desired sales & margin turnover in line with agreed budget targets.
- Ensure delivery of monthly sales budget via ERP reporting. Report all competition activities to the line manager.
- Provides deep sales analysis to the higher management, on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to develop immediate and long-term strategies.
- Overview and support key decision makers in processing, distribution and trading.
- Take overall responsibility for coordinating the logistics of trading activities, taking into account available infrastructure and operational priorities of the service providers.
- Ensure Group credit control policy is implemented & followed with assured payments to organization in agreed timeline.
- Identification of new prospective principals and products for growing sales into existing / new customers.
- Ensure that sales prospectus are updated with new customers, products and applications and shared via CRM consistently & reviewed with line manager at the end of every month.
- Ensure to follow the operational processes aligning to the ERP and the guidelines for continuous improvements. Ensure smooth implementation of CRM.
- Ensure to follow QHSE policy, ERP processes and local company operations are regulated under the company and in line with legal compliances. Report everything to the management in case of any discrepancies.
- Preferably a Chemical engineer with atleast 8 to10 years of experience in bulk commodity chemical trading in Industrial chemicals, Detergents, Plastics, Polymers, Food etc.
- Middle East & African market knowledge is a must.
