Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Control Manager with extensive experience in Metro/Rail infrastructure projects. The role is responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards, implementing QA/QC systems, and maintaining compliance across all phases of metro construction projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project-specific quality standards
- Prepare and manage Quality Plans, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and SOPs
- Conduct inspections, testing, and quality audits at all project stages
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Ensure adherence to Metro Rail standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and authorities (e.g., DMRC / Metro corporations)
- Manage technical documentation, approvals, and certification
- Lead internal and external quality audits
- Prepare quality reports and maintain records of inspections and tests
- Track non-conformities and ensure closure through corrective actions
- Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions)
- Handle customer complaints and site issues effectively
- Evaluate and audit subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet defined standards
- Conduct quality training and awareness programs for site teams
Required Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical Engineering with 8+ years of total experience, including a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Underground Metro.
- Minimum 8+ years of QA/QC experience in infrastructure projects
- Mandatory experience in Metro / Rail Projects
- Experience in handling large-scale urban transit or EPC projects
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and documentation, ISO standards (ISO 9001), Inspection and testing methodologies.
