Civil/Structural Engineer

For our client in The Hague, who turns concepts into realities, blueprints into assets and ideas into energy, we are looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer.

As Civil Structural Engineer you will be responsible for Civil and Structural Engineering and Design services for a large variety of brown field and revamp facilities for petrochemical,
oil, chemical gas and industrial services. These services are comprised of conceptual design, project specifications, basic engineering, extended basic engineering and detailed design and engineering.
As engineer, we expect you to be well informed on the construction sequences and be able to review and resolve all discipline technical queries.
You should be able to work alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines.

To be successful as an engineer, you should demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills. Outstanding candidates should display a superb work ethic and thrive under pressure.

Civil & Structural Engineer profile:
• You have an engineering background. Design skills are a bonus.
• You have site brownfield industrial experience in both steel and concrete.
• In-depth knowledge of the Dutch Building regulations “Bouwbesluit”, soil remediation, structural safety (e.g. CE) and fire proofing safety aspects.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and you are driven by quality.
• Health and safety is nr #1 for you and you take personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects, of course you demonstrate this by example.
• Pro-active attitude. Effective communication with project team members and all stakeholders.
• Good Dutch and English communication skills, both written and verbal.

What you will bring as a Civil & Structural Engineer:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering qualification.
• Candidates shall be (or become) VCA VOL certified
• Flexible for travelling and in possession of a valid driving license.
• 10 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, commissioning of industrial buildings and structures.
