Location: Ladson, SC
Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Placement
Shift: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Compensation: $25–$40/hour (based on experience) + shift differential + overtime opportunities

Job Summary
The CNC Turning Machinist is responsible for safely operating, programming, and maintaining CNC turning equipment to produce high‑quality parts that meet customer specifications. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient production, precision machining, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates CNC turning machines in accordance with engineering prints, work orders, and established specifications.
- Produces parts to required tolerances and quantities; promptly communicates any deviations or concerns to the Supervisor or Quality Manager.
- Programs CNC turning machines to manufacture parts efficiently and accurately.
- Uses precision measuring tools to inspect finished components, ensuring compliance with functional, quality, and cosmetic requirements.
- Maintains accurate production logs, including documentation of scrap, errors, and rework.
- Performs pre‑operation inspections to verify proper machine setup, alignment, and tooling.
- Conducts routine adjustments and basic maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Solid understanding of—or willingness to learn—CNC production equipment and machining processes.
- Knowledge of CNC machine programming.
- Understanding of applicable OSHA and environmental regulations and commitment to safe work practices.
- Associate degree or completion of a machining/apprenticeship program preferred.
- Minimum of one year of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience required.
- Prolonged periods standing, operating machinery, and performing repetitive tasks involving bending and stooping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions, operate machinery, and inspect finished parts.
