In connection with the growth of our construction structures, we are seeking those interested in their career development in the position of:
Commisioning Lead Engineer
Location: Nysa, Poland (on-site)
Contract: B2B (Polish terms)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise Commissioning Engineers, providing direction, support, and performance oversight.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all commissioning and start-up activities in line with project schedules.
- Develop and implement project-specific commissioning procedures and strategies.
- Ensure effective use of commissioning tools, systems, and methodologies, including pre-commissioning, preservation, preventive and predictive maintenance, and CMMS platforms.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure proper implementation of discipline-specific commissioning practices.
- Monitor daily commissioning progress, track milestones, and report performance against project schedules.
- Prepare and review commissioning documentation, including test procedures, reports, and completion dossiers.
- Oversee execution of commissioning tests, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation of results.
- Ensure all commissioning records, raw data, and quality documentation are completed, reviewed, and properly controlled.
- Compile and review commissioning quality packages prior to handover.
- Identify technical challenges, analyze issues, and provide independent recommendations aligned with project and organizational objectives.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Procurement, Training, Operations) and maintain effective communication with the Client.
- Organize and facilitate vendor training sessions for commissioning, start-up teams, and client personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, project safety procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all commissioning activities.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and project objectives are achieved.
- Maintain full compliance with company policies, procedures, and global standards.
- Support Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability policies.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Commissioning Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or minimum 10+ years of relevant commissioning experience.
- Proven leadership experience in commissioning and start-up roles on complex industrial projects.
- Strong background in electrical systems, including MV/HV substations.
- Solid knowledge of SCADA systems, LV/MV/HV switchgear, and protection relays (e.g., Siprotec).
- Good understanding of high-voltage safety rules and regulations.
- Experience in industries such as pharmaceuticals, power generation, or advanced technology sectors.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera, and MS Project.
