We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent with a strong background in rig building projects to oversee and manage commissioning activities from system completion through start-up and handover. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all commissioning activities for newbuild drilling rigs and offshore assets.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and system completion strategies.
  • Interface with engineering, construction, quality, marine, and client teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage pre-commissioning, mechanical completion, commissioning, start-up, and handover activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, project requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor commissioning progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.
  • Supervise and mentor commissioning engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Review commissioning dossiers, test packs, and completion documentation.
  • Participate in FATs, SATs, punch list management, and final client acceptance activities.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project management and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of commissioning experience, with significant exposure to offshore drilling rig construction/newbuild projects.
  • Proven experience as a Commissioning Superintendent or Commissioning Manager on jack-up rigs, semi-submersibles, drillships, or offshore platforms.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary commissioning teams in a shipyard or offshore construction environment.
