Commissioning Supervisor

Summary
   
Coordinate with Client and supervise Vendor /Licensors and Subcontractor workers to commission various systems relating to the Utilities and Offsite, or OSBL, areas of the Project according to the detailed Commissioning schedule, approved Procedures, approved Safe Work Method Statements and task specific Job Hazard Analysis.


Responsibilities

Supervise field commissioning activities on subcontractors doing:
  • Chemical loading.
  • Line-up and coordination of run-in of rotating equipment, including test-runs and witnessing.
  • Function testing of equipment.
  • Tightness testing and inerting.
  • Drying of cryogenic lines using dry air or nitrogen.
  • Coordination with other functions such as Safety Advisors and Construction.
  • Confirmation of reinstatement of piping systems.
  • Checking insulation and tracing.
  • Alarm, trip checks and commissioning and operation of firefighting systems.
  • Inspect / witness and sign inspections test records and ensure they are completed and recorded as per site Procedures.
  • Conduct safety walk downs.
  • Preparing, coordinating works and issuing permits to work for Subcontractor, Vendor / Licensor activities.
  • Close out punch list items / inspection test reports.
  • Effective coordination with Construction and Operations teams for smooth Commissioning and handover.

Qualifications
 
  • Minimum 3 years, preferably more than 5 years, of working experiences either in Oil/Gas production facilities, power plants or chemical plants for either of operation / maintenance / engineering / commissioning.
  • Good knowledge of hydrocarbon processing, particularly LNG.
  • Willing to carry out field supervision works and on shift, depending on the requirements.  
  • In-the-field knowledge and experience with reinstating and / or commissioning of process equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising workers / subcontractors to safely work to a strict schedule.
  • Experience with interface and coordination with Construction and Operations personnel.
  • Understanding of Permit to Work and associated requirements including SWMS, JHAs.
  • Strong focus on QA and OH&S systems and processes.
  • Other Commissioning related activities as requested.
  • Good computer literacy including MS Office.
